Locally known as "Wrinklies Express". Transport for people over 50yrs or the disabled to appointments e.g. doctor, hospital. Or to Motueka and Nelson. Compulsory membership of $15 p.a. A donation is expected for transport to Nelson.

Mobility Scooter User Courses

Course offering practical hands-on training, including test drives, with scooters available to try out. Includes finding the right scooter to suit the individual, safety and laws about using scooters, options for buying a scooter (e.g. lottery grants), and maintenance and repair know-how for all skill levels. The course is available for all scooter users at subsidised rates.

Safe with Age Driver Awareness Course

A 2 x 2 hour theory course held over consecutive days, run by a qualified Driving Instructor. Includes road code revision, route planning,
safe driving at all types of intersections, and pedestrian safety. After the course, participants can arrange a one-on-one driving assessment with the Driving Instructor for a minimal fee (subsidised by NZ Transport Safety). Enquiries for this Driver Awareness Course can also be made to:-

Transports people to or from any health appointment or hospital. Patients collected from home and escorted to Nurse / Receptionist. Oxygen, resuscitation and first aid equipment carried. Wheelchair hoist fitted / wheelchair available. Hours: 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, but flexibility for early or late appointments. Recommend bookings be phoned 3-4 days in advance.
