Golden Bay Community Service Vehicle Trust03 525 9775 Locally known as "Wrinklies Express". Transport for people over 50yrs or the disabled to appointments e.g. doctor, hospital. Or to Motueka and Nelson. Compulsory membership of $15 p.a. A donation is expected for transport to Nelson. Mobility Scooter User CoursesNCC 546 0390 or TDC 543 8551 Course offering practical hands-on training, including test drives, with scooters available to try out. Includes finding the right scooter to suit the individual, safety and laws about using scooters, options for buying a scooter (e.g. lottery grants), and maintenance and repair know-how for all skill levels. Safe with Age Driver Awareness Course03 547 4010 A 2 x 2 hour theory course held over consecutive days, run by a qualified Driving Instructor. Includes road code revision, route planning, safe driving at all types of intersections, and pedestrian safety. After the course, participants can arrange a one-on-one driving assessment with the Driving Instructor for a minimal fee (subsidised by NZ Transport Safety).
