 Exciting new development for the Nelson Tasman region.

The Nelson Tasman region is the first in the country to receive free doctor checks for a range of potentially fatal diseases in a new initiative that was announced recently. While some of the detail will be worked through over the coming weeks, those targeted in the first 18 months will be Maori men over 35, men and Maori women over 45, and women over 55.

The main objective of the initiative is in identifying health risks and supporting people to be well.
