Terms of Reference

Vision:

To contribute collective expertise from across the diverse continuum of primary health care nursing to guide Nelson Bays Primary Health, as lead coordinator and facilitator of Primary Health Care in Nelson Tasman. The Group will work together to advocate, promote and support high standards of professional nursing practice in order to best serve the people of Nelson Bays.

Purpose

To recognise, support and promote primary health care initiatives within the Nelson area including initiatives that specifically relate to primary health care and those relating to integrated care across the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors.
To provide advice on matters relating to primary health care nurses.
To undertake advocacy within and beyond the group reflecting the issues affecting primary health care nursing and the wider primary health care sector.
To contribute ongoing support and advice on Primary Health Care Nursing to Nelson Bays Primary Health, and the wider primary health care sector through collegial support and knowledge sharing.
To connect with policy makers on matters involving Primary Health Care Nursing.
