Current Vacancies

In November 2007 Victory Community Health (VCH) signed a contract with Nelson Bays Primary Health (NBPH) to provide services for the Be Well Community-Based Health Access and Coordination Service. The objectives of the service are to:

• Promote integration of primary health, social service activity and referral through facilitating access to information and referral pathways across the sector to wider community.
• Identify community needs, gaps in service provision and barriers to accessing services.
• Increase enrolment with General Practice and thus primary health care.
• Provide direct access support for those facing barriers to accessing primary health and social services and ensure sustainable solutions.
  

NBPH seeks proposals from suitably qualified individuals/organisations to evaluate the service provided to date, to determine if the service is meeting the objectives intended (both clinical and non-clinical) and to make recommendations for service enhancement.
The successful applicant will have a proven interest and/or experience in the fields of health-related qualitative and quantitative research. In particular, experience in the evaluation of primary health care providers and community-based organisations would be preferred. This evaluation will need to be completed by the 21st of May, 2010. NBPH will consider proposals which meet this timeframe.
Expressions of Interest, maximum one page, are to be submitted no later than 5pm on 10 March, 2010 to the contact below. The Expression of Interest will need to incorporate details of the research methodology, including budgeting information.
