Each whänau/family has a support worker who provides a broad service based on the goals and needs of each whänau/family. Free and confidential support provided in the client's own home for families with young children. Service includes provision of information, practical support, advice, advocacy, parent education, both antenatally and postnatally.

Supports five initiatives in the area of mental health: 1. CAYAD - Community Action on Youth & Drugs. The White House: community centre run by and for users of the mental health services.They provide information, advocacy, peer support, outings and activities, meeting rooms, support groups, shift work and training. 5. Kotuku: A crisis intervention peer support recovery service based in a house in the country and offering beds for up to four people at a time. Offers an alternative tohospitalisation. Maximum stay is 14 days. One peer support worker sleeps overnight.
