If you are experiencing problems with ACC, Access Support can help with ACC protocols and processes.  Provides advocacy, support and representation to disadvantaged ACC claimants, and assists with reviews and mediations with ACC.  (Will return phone calls if callers do not wish to pay toll charges.)

An accredited visitor service for clients aged 65 years plus or those who feel isolated.  Can arrange free one-on-one appointments to discuss any issues for older people.  Provide group education sessions e.g. in nursing homes.  Registered nurse available.  Membership fee.

Supports five initiatives in the area of mental health: 1. CAYAD - Community Action on Youth & Drugs.  Objectives are to increase informed community discussion and debate on issues relating to illicit drugs, adopt effective policies and practices to reduce harm, increased capacity to support young people and a reduced supply of drugs to young people. 2. Mental Health Promotion: Promotional campaigns, education, and support of communities to boost awareness in community and workplace.  Facilitating training amongst health professionals. 3. COMPASS Advocacy Service: Provides peer support advocacy workers. 4. The White House:  community centre run by and for users of the mental health services.They provide information, advocacy, peer        support, outings and activities, meeting rooms, support groups, shift work and training. 5.  Kotuku:  A crisis intervention peer support recovery service     based in a house in the country and offering beds for up to four people at a time.  Offers an alternative to hospitalisation.  Maximum stay is 14 days. One           peer support worker sleeps overnight.
