Janet accepted the challenge - and won!

If you think it's hard to keep exercising and not to overindulge over the holidays, think again!

This past December saw Janet Huddleston take part in the Nelson Bays Primary Health Green Prescription Huff 'n Puff Christmas Challenge - a simple challenge to do some physical activity that makes you huff and puff for 30 minutes a day and keep a record of the activity.

From 15 December 2009 to 15 January 2010 Janet kept a daily record of her walking, swimming, weight training and gardening and sent it in, hoping she might have a shot at the prize. She was focused on maintaining her health and knew that if she let things slide it would be harder to get started again in the New Year.

Her hard work and commitment paid off! Janet won a full day pass at Kimi Ora Day Spa in Kaiteriteri for herself and a friend or family member. She can treat herself to a soak in a spa or swim in the indoor or outdoor pool, and enjoy a bush or beach walk knowing that her consistent efforts to keep moving during the 'silly season' have been successful and beneficial.
